I’m running this fork of my blog on a static-site generator I wrote.
The generator isn’t a standalone tool, rather a feature I’ve just added to the social-network app I’ve been working on for more than a year. The app’s core UI is based on a WebView — HTML is the easiest and most flexible way to create complex text-heavy layouts — so it was pretty easy to make it iterate over the pages and write them to files that can then be uploaded to a web server. And that’s what you’re seeing here.
I’m actually writing this post in the app, and at the press of a button shellscript the post will pop up on the website. Awesome.
